Play Ranger wanted for the new Stramash Outdoor Nursery

We are looking for a Play Ranger to join the Stramash Early Years Team. The new post will work in the Stramash Outdoor Nursery which opens in August on the outskirts of Oban.

In the first year the nursery will provide pre-school education on a morning only basis during school term time to a maximum of 18 children at any one time. The children, all aged 3 to 5 years, will use our very own mongolian yurt as their base. From here they’ll explore, play and learn in the environment around them. The Play Ranger post is therefore based mainly outdoors.

The new Play Ranger post will be an integral part of the Stramash Early Years Team and will directly deliver pre-school education to the children. They will have direct responsibility for a small group of children and will report to the Nursery Manager. The Play Ranger will work closely with the two trainee Play Rangers.

The part time post (20 hours per week) will commence in August 2012 and be for a fixed term period until the end of June 2013.
