Scotland’s Outdoor Social Enterprise

Stramash delivers top quality outdoor learning, outdoor activities, expeditions and outdoor sports development. Adventure, exploration and challenge are all part of what Stramash can offer you. Being a social enterprise means that Stramash invests its resources back into communities and individuals, making a real difference to people’s lives.

The aims of Stramash are:

Outdoor Sports Development: To promote and provide a broad range of opportunities for public participation in outdoor sports and to provide outdoor sporting pathways for all ranges of ability and to support the development of outdoor sports for the benefit of the general public

Health Improvement: To encourage use of the natural environment to promote active and healthy lifestyles

Social Inclusion: To provide and assist in the provision of leisure and recreational facilities and services to the public at large including the provision of special facilities and services that may be provided for persons who have by reason of their age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage, a particular need

Environmental Education and Action: To raise awareness of and provide opportunities for proactive stewardship of the natural environment

Personal and Community Development: To provide a broad range of personal, social and educational development opportunities leading to the development of people’s capabilities, skills and understanding

Economic Development: To have a direct and indirect positive impact in economic development terms on the communities in which the organisation operates

Stramash, as part of our outdoor sports development, supported Taynuilt Primary School and enabled them to compete in the Scottish Schools Orienteering Festival. You can read a full account on the EckO Orienteers website.

Stramash is based in Argyll but is completely mobile and can deliver activities, courses and programmes anywhere in the country.
